Overview

If you are looking for a DHT and have specific criteria in mind, try starting with the Technologies section of Atlas. These can be accessed either by the Navigation Menu under "Atlas Catalog" or directly within the Catalog itself.

Viewing Technologies

In the Explore Technologies page, you can apply one or more filters to narrow down search results. Learn more about filters in our How to Use Filters article.

Clicking on a technology will bring you to its details page where you can view detailed information about the technology, such as:

  • Technical Specifications

  • Pricing Information

  • Supporting Evidence (Additional Option)

  • Relevant Measures

Learn more about the detailed information we provide and how to directly compare technologies in our Evaluate and Compare Technologies article.

Technology Details Breakdown

For this example, we'll be viewing AX3 by Axivity.

Product Evidence Breakdown

Every tool detail page contains a Product Evidence Breakdown. This card will show you the total product evidence stored in Atlas, as well as total how many of the evidences are from papers, clinical trials, FDA documentation, etc. It will also display the FDA Classification and CE Mark, if applicable.

  • Total Product Evidence: This number is an aggregate of all pieces of evidence in the Atlas on the use or validation of this product in a specific context. Types of evidence include peer-reviewed publications, clinical trials, validation studies, conference abstracts, and regulatory decisions, among others

    • This can range from 0 to > 100. In many cases, discontinued or older products may have higher evidence counts, since they have been on the market longer.

  • Papers: includes peer reviewed journal articles

    • Validation Breakdown: given the importance of validation evidence, our team has broken down and listed the number of Validation papers by V3 type (according to the V3 Framework our team co-authored)

  • Clinical Trials: records from ClinicalTrials.gov

  • FDA documentation: primarily 510ks

  • Other: conference abstracts

  • FDA classification: if the product contains FDA regulated software, it will be noted here

  • CE Mark: will include the class

Technical Specifications

This card shows a multitude of detailed information about the selected technology's specifications, such as battery life, form factor, wear location, compatible operating systems, etc. It also links to important information like spec sheets, manuals, and API availability.

Measurements

Measurements come in two categories: Vendor-stated Measures (identified by a grey dot) and Evidence-based Measures (identified by a blue dot). Clicking on either of these categories will isolate the results in the Measurements card to show only those applicable to the selected category. You can click them again to clear the filtering.

Price & Availability (Additional Option)

Information regarding the product's life cycle, price, and distribution channel is found in this card.

Data Rights & Security

This card contains information and links to the corresponding policies on the technology's vendor's website, or other officially hosted article(s). It provides insight into any applicable policies, and can provide easy access to software downloads.

Similar Technologies (Additional Option)

The Similar Technologies card is a beta feature that shows you other technologies we've deemed to be comparable to the one you're viewing. You are able to use the compare icon to easily add these technologies to your technology comparison list.

To help us refine the results we offer in this card, please indicate using the "Yes" or "No" button at the bottom of the card whether or not the information was useful to you. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve Atlas.
